Spring Time with Janie and Jack

spring-time-with-janie-and-jack

Spring has already sprung (even if it doesn’t quite feel like it), and Easter is in 5 days! I still can’t believe it’s nearly April. But I see a light at the end of the tunnel now, and that light is warm weather, bare shoulders, and chubby baby legs peeking out of rompers! I love this time of the year. And just as the cold starts to disappear, I can see my girls’ need to just get outside and run around in that fresh air that spring brings us. They’ve definitely gotten bored of inside activities and just want to go to the playground or on a walk. We’ve already done a few outside “tea parties.” They LOVE it!

Hallen’s at the age right now where everything she does is make believe. She’ll put on a princess dress, and only speak as if she were that exact princess. As soon as I put on this little skirt and tank set from Janie and Jack, she actually thought she was Sofia the First. No joke. If something is purple, she associates it with her. Every princess has her own color, and if she’s wearing that color, she also becomes that princess. So, she acted just like Sofia would at a tea party with all of her animal friends. Very prim and proper. She’s my cautious, careful, and meticulous little girl. And Hazel just follows suit. She does everything Hallen does. We live right by a river, so we went to set up their little tea party by the Catawba River, so we could all just watch the river and be outside enjoying what it has to offer. It’s one of our favorite places to go!

*This post is sponsored, but ALL opinions are my own! *

Usually, we only let Hallen have her “coffee” (aka whipped cream) in these little espresso cups at home, so it was a real treat for her being able to take them on an adventure. And y’all, I cannot get over how cute her little outfit is. It’s hands down, one of my favorite springtime outfits she has. Janie and Jack does an amazing job on their details and quality of clothing. The clothes are lined, the shoes are sturdy, and the little purse just may end up in my closet as a clutch 😜 With Hallen, you can tell right away if she likes what she’s wearing, and this outfit lived up to her princess standards!

And Hazel, my little defiant, feisty, and babe, looked like the sweetest southern belle in her seersucker romper and folded over white socks! Her outfit took me straight back to childhood. Her little outfit is like an updated twist on my childhood era! So sweet and demure. I’m a huge fan of one piece outfits on babies. They’re so simple! Button it on, and bam, you have an outfit! Ready to go! Especially on a second child, right? You have even less time to get everyone ready and out the door.

We’ll definitely be having a lot more tea parties this spring! We may even try to gather some of Hallen’s good friends and have a joint tea party with all of their little animal friends. It’s an easy, cheap, and entertaining spring activity, and I’m all about activities that don’t require much planning! I’ll also be grabbing a few more Janie and Jack outfits for the girls. I love how durable they are. They hold up with multiple wears and washes, and they have the cutest little styles (like…I want them in my size)!

What are some of your favorite activities to do in the springtime with your kiddos?

Love this post with your baby girls in their cute spring time outfits and tea party. So fun! I love going to the POOL/Jacuzzi with my son. Something I’ll do a little different this season will be to take him to the park and play sports with him.
