Mommin’ On Repeat

mommin-my-way-through-the-weekend

Some days…most days…do you ever just feel like you’re on constant repeat from the days and weeks past? That’s how I always felt during the newborn days…just wondering when…IF…it was going to ever end! Right now, I’m in that struggle with Hallen’s three year old attitude. I feel like I have the same conversation with her every single day. We even have a sticker chart going on for attitude/behavior changes, and when she gets 25 stickers, she gets a Snow White dress that she’s been pining over for a…

weekend-recap-atlanta-travels

This past weekend, I finally got to see my best friend after what seems like forever…my friend who’s last name I actually used for Hallen’s name! She must be kind of special ;-p But, Kevin and I decided to make a weekend trip out of it, and just get away. See new things. Let the girls explore a new city. We didn’t have time to do anything big, because of bridal shower plans and having dinner with her family, but I was totally fine with that.I kept telling Hallen we were going to Atlanta, and…

trendy-tots-tuesday-gracious-may

Toddler and children’s footwear seems to be huge these days. Trendy, comfortable, and functional is huge when it comes to our kiddos, because we want them to learn how to walk properly ,but we also want them to be cute. And there’s just something about teeny tiny footwear that’s oh so cute! We’ve been lucky enough to work with Gracious May since Hallen was little. And now her Gracious May boots are being passed down to Hazel. Hallen learned to walk in her brown fringe moccs from them, so they hold a special place in my…

Red, White, and You

red-white-and-you

I love summer time. Days are slower, schedules are less hectic, and there always seems to be more time for friends and get togethers. It always makes us want to go out and explore together. There are so many days that we feel “restricted” because of nap times and bed times, but every now and then, we know it’ll be okay to break up the schedule. We’ll survive. The girls will survive. Let’s just go see where the day takes us.Last weekend, we went to shopping for curtains, a mirror, and other random things for the…

Windy Days

windy-days

You guys. I want to move to Florida. We just moved to Charlotte a year ago, but palm trees on the horizon are calling my name! I think we may just have to plant palmetto trees on the borders of our yard here for now ha!We had so much fun visiting family for a few days in sunny Florida. Although, it was warmer in Charlotte then it was there for those few days. We were battling some serious wind. I don’t think I really even needed to apply sunscreen, because I was constantly in a jacket or wrapped…

Wicked Good Vibes

wicked-good-vibes

An exciting release is happening tomorrow at one of our favorite small shops, Wicked Good Vibes…and no it’s not an April Fools joke. She’s introducing a hand-sewn line, and Hallen got the honor to model one before the release! It’s the most adorable polka dot romper. And it even has pockets! I know we all love our clothes that have pockets in them 🙂 It’s such a versatile romper. Hallen literally wore it three days in a row (maybe four ha!), and it looked like a different outfit each time! Above, I just grabbed some…

One Month Ago

First of all, HAPPY ST. PATTY’S DAY!! You may be going out, drinking green beer, and wearing a shamrock on your cheek with beads around your neck. Definitely not what I’ll be doing, so I’ll be living vicariously through your adventures tonight! Maybe I’ll at least put a shamrock sticker on my cheek. Hallen would probably like to wear one at least. We’ll actually be celebrating Hazel’s one month “birthday.” Or rather…one month ago I pushed Hazel out of you know where au natural, so I deserve a little celebration! Maybe a glass…

First Couple Weeks Home

Going from a family of three to four has definitely been a transition, but not the type of transition that I expected. Everyone told me that one to two kids was going to be the biggest shock. I got so many people telling me that it was going to be so hard and the “oh you just wait. You have it easy now with one!” That one always irked me just a little bit, I’m not going to lie. Why do you feel like you need to trample on my dreams of a growing family? Yes, tell me truths…
