Jill Yoga Mommy and Me Style

jill-yoga-mommy-and-me-style

Most of you know that I started my yoga practice back up this year after a year and a half of trying to get my act together. Motherhood takes you down roads you think you’ll never go down! And losing my “fitness regimen” was one I thought would NEVER EVER EVER happen. But, when you become a mother, you become a whole new person. You no longer care about having a 6 pack as much as you care about getting a solid nap routine down for your little one. You don’t care as much about fitting a certain aesthetic like when you were in college. Yes, I want to make sure I’m healthy as I can be, but certain things you once held high on a pedestal move down in ranking. For me, that was yoga. I wanted to be with my family as much as possible. But this year, I said, you know what, I need it for me. I need it for the girls. Hazel is sleeping through the night. SO that means, I can get my booty up early and still be a mama ( a better one at that) when they wake up!

*This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own!*

And now that I do that, Hallen constantly wants to do yoga with me. She’s seen me do it during lunch time, and she sees my sweaty self some mornings when I come home from my practice. So now she wants to be just like mommy! And I love that. I think it’s a great thing to teach her while she’s young. It’ll help her deal with stress during tough times as she grows.

And sometimes Hazel will even do a downward dog when you ask her to! It’s the cutest! Most of the time she just likes to sit on the squishy mats, though!

I’ve been LOVING Jill Yoga for all three of us lately. They help my girls to be just like me when they want to be. I know one day they won’t want to twin with mom or do the same things I do, so for now, I’ll cherish these times where all three of us can wear watermelon pineapple leggings!

Jill Yoga has sizes all the way from infants to adults, so everyone can match! Their sizes run true to size. I’m in a small, Hallen’s in a 3, and Hazel is in a 12-18 month.

We’ll all be living in these this summer. And I’m sure you’ll be seeing Hallen do a lot more Cosmic Yoga in my stories. She’s been obsessed! If you haven’t showed it to your kids yet, you should. Hallen’s favorite is the Moana practice. Grab a pair of Jill Yoga’s fun leggings, and maybe a top to match, get your mat, and do some Cosmic Yoga with your children. You won’t regret it. It’s been something we’ve started doing on rainy afternoons. It’s kind of TV, but not quite. It’s interactive, keeps them moving, and fun! Plus, you get a small workout out of it too. It’s always exciting to find an activity you and your child can do together that they love…and bonus that it’s healthy!

What’s something that you used to LOVE doing, but had to give it up once motherhood hit you hard? Have you started adding it back to your routine slowly? It’s hard to find a balance! And I had to realize everything has it’s own season. If you’re still in a season of not being able to workout , just know that it won’t always be like that! One day you’ll be able to work out 5 times a week again, meal plan really well, and get laundry done (I’m still in the season of laundry mountains)!

Oh…and a little bonus photo for you:

While I was trying to help Hallen get in bow pose, she would not stop tootin’! As a mom with weak bladder control, things almost went south, because I couldn’t contain my laughter! That’s probably a whole other post though! 😂
