These Are A Few of My Favorite Things

Life has been a blur over here. We try to stop and smell the roses as much as possible, but life is just busy! When I think that this pregnancy is already more than half way through, I seriously don’t know how it happened. I feel like I just peed on the stick yesterday. But today, I can already see the the baby’s sweet little kicks every time I look at my tummy. I told Kevin yesterday that I think this baby is going to be a big one. All he said was, “no comment. ” I tried to go on…” I mean, I feel like I’m just growing exponentially quicker than my last two full term pregnancies. Again, he replied, ” no comment.” I was like, what do you mean, no comment?! I need you to comment! He said, “whatever I say, I’ll be wrong, and dig myself into a hole!” Ha! Poor husband. He was totally right. I guess I should have jut expected my comment to be rhetorical.

I just don’t remember having to sleep with a pregnancy pillow this early last time. Today, I’m 23 weeks and 2 days, but I already need my pillow to be comfortable at night. I don’t think I used it until my 3rd trimester with the girls. I guess my body just knows what it’s doing, right?

So, I’ll leave you with a few of my favorite pregnancy things I’ve been loving for the second trimester so far.

1. Leech Body Pillow

2. Blanqi Tank Tops

3. Blanqi Leggings

4. Good Body Good Mommy Running Leggings … you can find my post all about these here

5. Comfortable Sandals

6. Ingrid and Isabel Tank Dresses … I would have these dresses in EVERY single color if I could afford it!

7. HATCH Mama Belly Oil

8. Pink Blush Dresses/Rompers…I was a fan of everything Pink Blush my last pregnancy, and I still am! Their fabrics are comfortable and forgiving. They ship quickly. I can wear most of them after baby is born! Here are a few of my faves this go around:

This white cold shoulder maternity/nursing top

Striped Gray Maxi:

As you can see, Hallen has LOVED wearing her peach floral maxi dress, and it’s actually from Pink Blush as well. They carry kids clothes now! You can find it here (tots)and here (babes).

Another maxi dress I’ve loved:

And a romper I never thought I’d be able to wear. But it’s incredibly comfortable. It’d be adorable postpartum as well. I’m 5’8″ and I stuck with the regular length, but it’s also made in a tall.

I also made the girls wear rompers with me (from one of our favorite small shops Mila Chic Boutique)

9. Good Running Shoes…I had to get a new pair, because my old pair was worn out. I went with the Nike Odyssey React.

10. New undies and bras from Kindred Bravely…this may be TMI, but when I get pregnant, everything grows. I go up sizes in bras and panties 😳 My normal panties I’m used to wearing just aren’t comfortable anymore.

11. Maternity/Nursing Nightgown…I don’t have these specific ones, but I like to sleep and lounge in nightgowns when I’m pregnant. I feel unrestricted, and like my belly can breathe.

If you’re searching for a few staples in your new pregnancy, I hope this provides a place to start. I know there are a lot more items I could add, but these are a great starting place. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask or DM me on Instagram.

Here’s to hoping this week is a little slower. We have a few painting project so finish up, and we’re getting in a new bed for our master bedroom finally! We spent all last Saturday painting our room. I’m basically making everything white! It may be dangerous with kids, but I figure I can bleach white things without ruining them ha! If you’re in the Charlotte area and have any recommendations for painting companies, please let me know! We have some two story walls we just can’t do by ourselves.

Happy Monday! xx Kristina
