Stay at Home Spring Break

I know a lot of you guys are still in the negatives up North and out West, but that doesn’t stop spring break daydreaming. We don’t have big plans for spring break since the girls are only in preschool, but they do have a spring break. That means we’ll be doing a stay at home spring break trip this year. We’ll do some exploring around our town, a few crafts that have to do with sunny days and getaways, and just have some unscheduled scheduled fun. Maybe we’ll break routine a couple days, and stay out past nap time, break the rules and eat snacks on the couch,  have fun where we live and just enjoy our city. I’m hoping we have a warm spring week so we can bust out all of the cute spring dresses we have too!

These girls always love exploring with me, so here is what I’m thinking we’ll do together. Maybe it’ll give you a few ideas if you’re staying at home for spring break too! This could all change on a day to day basis, too, just depending on whether or not we have sunshine or rain.

Monday: Explore downtown in our little area and have brunch. I’ll order something that’s not my normal, and I’m sure the girls will have chicken nuggets! Then, we’ll go to the little pond we always visit with some markers or crayons and have the girls draw the pond, ducks, and anything else they see there.

Tuesday: Go to our local greenway/park. Enjoy nature and feed the horses. Collect some rocks, acorns, flowers, etc. and do a little afternoon craft with them.

Wednesday: Visit a museum. Pack our lunch and eat at a local park to enjoy the spring weather we’ll have ðŸ˜‰ (I’m willing it!). And then let the girls just run around. And then in the afternoon, we can create a fun beach craft! Here are a few I like:

Flip Flops. Crabs. Painted Seashells. Starfish. Sand Clay Handprint.

Thursday: Enjoy some free play at the house. Maybe have some of their friends over. If it’s warm enough, set up our little inflatable pool in the backyard.

Friday: Go to a local splash pad if it’s warm enough. If not, just enjoy the playground nearby and maybe some shopping with a bite to eat from home, sitting outside again. Then go for some fro-yo after lunch!

And of course, we’ll be dressing for the occasion in our Hanna Andersson!

These girls never miss an opportunity to match or coordinate. I don’t know if you have little girls who just think it’s the coolest thing since sliced bread to all be matching, but that’s certainly what Hallen and Hazel are like…and Winnie is just kind of along for the ride, but automatically in the matching girl gang. Hanna Andersson makes that so incredibly easy. We partnered with them for their Sunny Days and Getaways collection, and y’all…SO CUTE! Perfect for a stay at home spring break or an actual getaway to some pools and palm trees.

Today through the 18th, Hanna Andersson is having a GREAT sale on this collection. Everything is 25% off, so I think it’s time to start packing your suitcases (or just grabbing some fun coordinating sets for exploring your city). We’re going to make our spring break a big deal for the girls so that it feels special for them.

I’ll link their outfits here, plus a few of my favorites from the collection.
