Beautycounter Friends & Family

It’s finally here again! What we’ve all been waiting for. Friends and Family event is back for the second year. Now until August 12th, almost the entire Beautycounter site is 15% off!

So, I figured I’d share a few of my favorite products. If you’re just dipping your toes into the clean beauty movement, this is definitely the time to start trying things out. I know it can be intimidating to think of switching over your entire makeup and skin care regimen. When I first started thinking about it all two years ago, I got anxious just thinking about the energy, money, and research I’d have to do to really know what would be good for my family. The great thing about Beautycounter, though, is that you KNOW it’s all been rigorously tested and researched. Everything is safe to a fault. You don’t have to double check ingredients for something harmful. You don’t have to wonder if they’re doing this ethically. Beautycounter is so straightforward and honest.

I first started looking into Beautycounter about 2.5 years ago, because my oldest daughter’s hair was falling out. She was two and a half, and you could just gently run your fingers through her hair and chunks would come out. I thought worst case scenario of course, but her blood work was normal. Once I finally thought it could be her shampoo (because the dates coincided with when her hair first started falling out), I stopped using it and guess what??? Her hair stopped falling out. And we weren’t using a generic brand. It was a brand that claimed to be very honest (if you get my drift…but this isn’t a blame blog post, so I won’t actually name the company).

ANYWAYS, we switched her to Beautycounter with no problems. Her hair started to slowly come back in with no more issues. After that, I knew how important it was to really check what we were putting on our bodies and on our babies’ bodies. So, I started slowly switching mine and Kevin’s products over and then our household products. I cannot stress enough how important it is for even minor seeming things. Switching products could help with asthma, slight skin irritations, eye irritations (for me, I could never wear eyeshadow…now I can with Beautycounter!), sickness, fertility, birth defects, cancer, and the list goes on.

SO, if you’re ready to just change one thing, today is the day! Maybe it’s just a concealer or lipstick or lotion. Your skin is your largest organ, so any of those are great starting points. Here are my favorite Beautycounter products, though:

Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer

Countersun Mineral Sunscreen

Overnight Resurfacing Peel

Sheer Lipstick (my faves are Twig, Lily, Petal, and Terra)

No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil

Brilliant Brow Gel

Touchup Skin Concealer Pen

Volumizing Mascara

Charcoal Cleansing Bar

One-Step Makeup Remover Wipes

Velvet Eyeshadow Palette- Classic

Satin Powder Blush (my faves are Nectar and Melon)

Illuminating Cream Highlighter ( I use Pearl Glow on the daily)

Baby Soothing Oil (I not only use this on my kids, but on my legs after I shave. It feels so good, and doesn’t soak into clothing)

Glow Shimmer Oil (makes your décolletage extra fancy)

Citrus Mimosa Hand Wash and Hand Cream Set

Kids Bath Collection (BUY THIS! It smells great and is so safe for those babies of yours. This is what I started with for Hallen)

Volume and Shape Volumizing Mist (nice and lightweight!)

Baby Calming Diaper Rash Cream (think about it…diaper cream goes somewhere very sensitive…so let your products be extra sensitive too!)

Baby Daily Protective Balm (LOVE this for dry skin )

Counterman Charcoal Body Bar ( a great gift for your man…and you can use it too!)

Please let me know if you have and questions on ANYTHING! I know that’s a lot of info and products. Don’t let it overwhelm you. Remember, one product starts making a positive difference. You don’t have to do it all at once.

And if my name doesn’t pop up as the consultant, would you do me a favor and put my name in there when you go to checkout? I don’t say it to be a a nag, but helping others is a way I help my family out too.
