Welcome Gwenevere “Winnie” Mae

It’s been a month since little Winnie has been in our arms, and I honestly don’t know how it’s already been that long! After your first child, days, months, and weeks really are a big blur. Time goes quicker than that little…

Happiness is Homemade

Isn’t it though? You can create your happiness and joy. Your circumstances may be dim, but you can choose happiness. I know it’s a lot easier said than done, but that’s what we’re trying to teach our girls…and even ourselves…

Stay at Home Spring Break

I know a lot of you guys are still in the negatives up North and out West, but that doesn’t stop spring break daydreaming. We don’t have big plans for spring break since the girls are only in preschool, but they do&nbsp…

Creative Play with Shape Mags

Who tries to set some type of schedule for your kids while they’re at home? I’ve been trying to be more intentional this past year of having some type of plan to follow on the days the big girls don’t go to…

Disney Trip 2018

DISNEY!I’ve been so lazy in writing posts over the past couple months…okay really the past nine. I don’t know what it was about being pregnant, but I had a little less motivation to work during nap time. I wanted to zone…

When Your Mom Instinct Takes Over

My heart is still racing just typing this out. My mind is flowing with the what ifs and could have beens. This post won’t have any pretty photos and possibly not even thoughts that are strung together well, but it had to come out…

Seven.

It’s been seven whole years since we said “I do.” Some days it feels like just yesterday our love story began and others it feels like you’ve always been a part of me. I know that’s super cliché, but it is what…

Sassy Toddlers

sassy-toddlers

Look at the camera. Smile. Sit down. Stop hitting your sister. Stop hitting the dog with your stroller. Don’t throw that. Stay in your room until I come and get you. No, you can’t go outside without me! Stop pulling my hair! YOU HAVE TO WEAR PANTS!The words on repeat at our house lately. And I have no clue how it happened. Hallen was seriously the easiest baby on the planet. No lie. I could have had quadruplet Hallen’s, and I could have survived easily. She didn’t need any help going to sleep, she nursed…

CA Souls

ca-souls

Delicate, unique, and meaningful. Three words that would describe the bracelets we received from CA Souls. A delicate piece of jewelry usually seems understated, which I love, but, these “understated” bracelets also make a big statement unknowingly to everyone’s eye. They’re morse code bracelets! You can customize it with a message you want or buy one that they’ve already made up.My bracelet is 14k gold filled and spells out “mother” with both of the girls’ birthstones attached to it. And both of the girls have their own rose gold filled bracelet, which spells out their names…

Vienna Springs

vienna-springs

I love baby wearing. Love it. It’s so sweet when your little babe snuggles against your chest and you feel her breath on your skin. And right now, Hazel will only sleep when she’s being worn when we’re out and about. She’ll cry 45 minutes on a car ride, but once my husband or I get her out of the car and place her on our chest in my Vienna Springs ring sling, she instantly calms down. Her cry slows to that teeny little whimper while she catches her breath until she finally falls asleep so…

LOLA

lola

If you try to live your life as natural and as free of chemicals as possible, I’ve found a product for you! LOLA!I received a box of tampons and ultra thin liners to try out, and I can say that I do love them. They’re sleek, aren’t uncomfortable, and they’re healthier than your traditional feminine products!LOLA products are all organic cotton- no synthetic stuff, dyes, or toxins. It’s kind of scary when you start to research what’s in your products that you use every month! On top of an all organic, great…

essential-oils-nighttime-routines

I love essential oils. I don’t use them daily like I should, but I always know that “there’s an oil for that!” And when something is off in my body, I always like to try and work it out naturally instead of popping an Aspirin. I like to do that with my girls, too. I am so thankful for modern medicine, but I also know that there’s a lot we can do without. That being said, I was sent these roller ball applicators for oils from Floating Feather Essentials to try out. I got the Calm and…

Matching Florals

mommy-me

Mother’s Day is just around the corner. Like…it’s sooner than you think. I know holidays come around the same time each year, so it shouldn’t be a surprise, but somehow it always is, right?! How is that? I’ll figure it out one day! I always say I’ll buy things way ahead of time, but then end up doing last minute shopping.Well, I found the perfect mommy and me outfits for all of you who love to match your daughters! The fun thing is that these are all small shops, so you’re helping…

Wind Blown

wind-blown

Yep. Still talking about the wind in Florida. Because who can really pull of the wind blown look anyways?! I want to meet that woman and shake her hand. And then, ask her what products she uses. Even with a keratin treatment I look like a scruffy pup! If there was never torrential wind again, I think I’d be okay with that. When there is a lot of big gusts, though, there’s nothing better than a little more length on a dress so that it doesn’t get blown up so easily! This happened to be my Easter…

Windy Days

windy-days

You guys. I want to move to Florida. We just moved to Charlotte a year ago, but palm trees on the horizon are calling my name! I think we may just have to plant palmetto trees on the borders of our yard here for now ha!We had so much fun visiting family for a few days in sunny Florida. Although, it was warmer in Charlotte then it was there for those few days. We were battling some serious wind. I don’t think I really even needed to apply sunscreen, because I was constantly in a jacket or wrapped…
