Mom Bashing.

Mom bashing. Judging. Secretly talking about someone behind their back. Someone isn’t raising their child like you (how could they!?). Bullying a mom you don’t know online. Making a mom feel like she’s unfit. You guys, this has to stop. And I…

Anniversary Weekend

This past weekend was a special one. I’m sure a lot of you saw on my Instastories that it was our anniversary. Anniversaries sure look a lot different with kids, don’t they? We were lucky enough to have some friends watch our girls…

Weekend Recap: Mountain Weekend

I’m not sure when the last time you went on a little getaway just to do nothing, have no agenda, except to be silly with your friends and lounge in your pjs all weekend long. It had been a while since Kevin and I…

AdventureNest

“She was an adventurer at heart; but oh how she loved drinking this tea from this mug in this chair. Oh how she loved to be home.”That quote explains me to a T. Adventure was my middle name before children, and then I saw…

Mommy and Me: Snow Day Edition

It comes to no surprise that I love mommy and me pieces. I never thought I’d be the mom that wanted to match her kids ( I remember hatinggggg that as a child), but here I am, 29 years young, wanting to do a little…

Kroma iPhone Case Giveaway

{GIVEAWAY at the end!} If you remember some of my New Year goals, one of them was to swap out old products for safer versions. I’ve teamed up with Kroma to do just that! I’ve been using their cell cases for the…

New Year. New Flu

What a way to start the New Year. I went to a New Year party by myself, while Kevin stayed home with the girls, because he was so sick. I felt awful for him. A couple days later, Hallen drank out of his cup, and…

Organizing. Organizing. Organizing.

One of my goals this year was to create a simplified life, starting with our home. I want an organized, easy to clean, and just simpler living home. So, this means cleaning out every nook and cranny. Luckily, one of my best friends was doing…

Snow Day Investment

It’s going to sound weird, but a snow day is something I’ve actually been praying for! For the world to stop…just one day. Take a chill pill. Not worry about numbers being hit and dollars being made. We get so caught up in making checks balance and putting in overtime so that we can rise up in our jobs and look great to our bosses, be told “well done,” pay the bills, feed our extravagant lifestyles. Lately, I can’t do that. The pressure the world puts on us to perform is so overwhelming that it feels…

Whole30…ish…

If you don’t know what the Whole30 challenge is, check out the link. Basically, you only eat whole foods for 30 days. That is, you eat meat, veggies, and healthy fats. No flour, dairy, legumes, sugar, alcohol, etc. Kevin and I have decided to give this a go, because we figured there’s nothing to lose (except for that ever loving delicious dark chocolate in the fridge). We made a pact this past weekend to start ASAP. The only thing that we didn’t want to do was waste money. That defeats any purpose to me. Why waste items…

“Never say never.” That’s what we’re told, right? Growing up your parents always say that when you tell them, “I’m never going to be as mean as you and ground my kids!” Or something to the like. Well, I never thought I’d have a problem having children. I didn’t really even know what that was until we started trying to have little one of our own.I thought I could have the world on my time. It’s my life so my rules, right? Absolutely wrong! The hard part for me is that I didn…

Anxious Thoughts

“I cried out, ‘I am slipping!’ but your unfailing love, O LORD, supported me. When doubts filled my mind your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.” Psalm 94: 18-19This past year my body has been racked with anxiety. It’s not a feeling you can really put into words. It’s such an out of body experience. You tell your body to stop aching and worrying and spinning out of control, but there is nothing you can do about it in the moment. Your heart just races and your mind knows nothing else. Somehow, you have to ground…

Number One

Number one, which I am not. Just when you think you’ve learned all you can about how to live your life in the best way possible you get side swept with something you thought you’d never have to face.  Growing up, I always “knew” I’d be successful (aka making the big bucks), traveling the world, walking amongst the elite, marrying the most handsome man in the world, and have four little ones who adore me.  Well, three years after graduating from university I still don’t know what “career” I want.  I haven’t traveled outside the…
