Welcome Gwenevere “Winnie” Mae

It’s been a month since little Winnie has been in our arms, and I honestly don’t know how it’s already been that long! After your first child, days, months, and weeks really are a big blur. Time goes quicker than that little…

Happiness is Homemade

Isn’t it though? You can create your happiness and joy. Your circumstances may be dim, but you can choose happiness. I know it’s a lot easier said than done, but that’s what we’re trying to teach our girls…and even ourselves…

Stay at Home Spring Break

I know a lot of you guys are still in the negatives up North and out West, but that doesn’t stop spring break daydreaming. We don’t have big plans for spring break since the girls are only in preschool, but they do&nbsp…

Creative Play with Shape Mags

Who tries to set some type of schedule for your kids while they’re at home? I’ve been trying to be more intentional this past year of having some type of plan to follow on the days the big girls don’t go to…

Disney Trip 2018

DISNEY!I’ve been so lazy in writing posts over the past couple months…okay really the past nine. I don’t know what it was about being pregnant, but I had a little less motivation to work during nap time. I wanted to zone…

When Your Mom Instinct Takes Over

My heart is still racing just typing this out. My mind is flowing with the what ifs and could have beens. This post won’t have any pretty photos and possibly not even thoughts that are strung together well, but it had to come out…

Seven.

It’s been seven whole years since we said “I do.” Some days it feels like just yesterday our love story began and others it feels like you’ve always been a part of me. I know that’s super cliché, but it is what…

Living In Zella

zella-activewear-line

My whole life, I feel like I’ve lived in activewear. I’ve always loved to run. I’ve always been playing a sport or involved in something to keep me active. After I graduated college, I started pursuing a career as a personal trainer, which turned into being a barre and yoga instructor. So, for the better part of the last decade, I’ve worn activewear 90% of the time. And once I found Zella activewear line at Nordstrom, I knew I found a staple brand for my closet.I only tell you this to show you I have…

Holiday Gift Guide: Men

holiday-gift-guide-men

Last gift guide for the season! And it was the most difficult for me…just like in real life. It’s always the men who are the most difficult to buy for, and maybe it’s because all the men in my life don’t have the love language of gifts. Even my husband said…I’d just like some alone time with you and maybe for you to do a boudoir shoot! So, if that’s your man, too, scoop up a local photographer to help you out with that and then grab a few little gifts to go…

Holiday Gift Guide: Home

holiday-gift-guide-home

Here are just a few fun ideas you may want to put in your own home or gift to someone else. Last year, a handful of us ladies got together for our Christmas dinner, and we had a secret Santa present like so many groups do during Christmas. Except we decided to gift a mug, a pair of fuzzy socks, and sometime else if you wanted (like chocolate), but it was only required to have the mug and fuzzy socks. It was so much fun! And everyone could use them both! So, if you’re doing something like that, maybe…

Modern Girl’s Room Update

modern-girls-room-update

We’ve been fighting bedtime battles ever since the girls started sleeping in the same room…about four months ago! That’s at least 120 days of arguing and picking our bedtime battles! Tell me it gets better! I know they won’t be little like this for long, but sheesh! Bedtime is wearing me out. ANYWHO! We initially traded in their twin beds for a bunk bed hoping it would help them sleep better without so much playing in their rooms. Well…it hasn’t! Even with our “set rules,” they just want to play, and then continuously come…

a-mother-who-is-running-on-anxiety-and-depression-part-ii

About a month ago, I reached out to a few of my followers and friends who said they too dealt with PPD, and asked them if they could write what it was like for them. This was written by someone I met through Instagram. Her name is Hannah, and she’s been so so sweet. When I first read what she sent me, I couldn’t stop crying, because it felt like I wrote it! She writes beautifully and explains her story so well.  I was just shy of 21 when I gave birth to my first child, and…
